Lankan Fest 2023 - Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. Your participation in Lankan Fest 2023, scheduled for Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Federation Square, Melbourne, is subject to the following terms and conditions:

1. Assumption of Risk:

   I understand that participating in Lankan Fest 2023 involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to accidents, property damage, personal injury, and even death. By attending the event, I acknowledge and accept these risks and voluntarily choose to participate.

2. Waiver and Release of Liability:

   In consideration of being allowed to attend Lankan Fest 2023, I hereby agree as follows:

   2.1. I release and forever discharge the event organisers, Lankan Fest Inc., Future Foundation for Kids, their officers, employees, agents, volunteers, and all associated sponsors from any and all liability for any personal injuries, property damage, or wrongful death occurring to me during the event.

   2.2. I will not make any claims against, sue, or attach the property of the event organisers for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from my attendance at Lankan Fest 2023.

   2.3. This waiver and release of liability apply to any and all claims resulting from the negligence of the event organisers, whether ordinary or gross negligence, but do not include claims intentionally caused by the organisers.

3. Indemnification:

   I agree to indemnify and hold the event organisers harmless from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur due to my attendance at Lankan Fest 2023, including any legal fees or costs incurred in connection with such claims.

4. Medical Treatment:

   I consent to and authorise any reasonable medical treatment and care by a licensed medical professional in the event of injury or illness during Lankan Fest 2023.

5. Photography and Videography:

   I understand that photographs and videos may be taken during the event and give permission for the event organisers to use my likeness in any photos, videos, or other promotional materials.

6. Minors:

   If I am accompanying a minor, I acknowledge that I am the parent or legal guardian of that minor, and I grant my consent to their participation and accept the terms and conditions on their behalf.

7. Compliance:

   I agree to comply with all rules, regulations, and directions given by the event organisers, security personnel, or law enforcement during Lankan Fest 2023.

8. Agreement to Terms:

   By attending Lankan Fest 2023, I acknowledge that I have carefully read and fully understand these terms and conditions. I voluntarily and willingly agree to abide by the rules and regulations stated herein.

9. Raffle draw / Competition

   9.1. The Competition starts 15th November 2023 at 09:00am and ends 25th November 2023 at 08:00pm. Winner will be announced on the same day once the competition is concluded

   9.2. To enter this Competition, entrants must complete the questions and like Lankan Fest Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lankanfest/

   9.3. Lankan Fest Inc's decision regarding any aspect of this Competition is final

   9.4. Lankan Fest Inc collects entrants' personal information to conduct the Competition. Information collected maybe used by Lankan Fest Inc to send you promotional emails/text messages from time to time. However, Lankan Fest Inc. will not share your information with any other party.

   9.5. Participation is voluntary. Please do not participate in this competition unless you agree to the said terms and conditions.

Note: Lankan Fest 2023 reserves the right to make changes to these terms and conditions as necessary.

By attending Lankan Fest 2023, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.
